This book contains four inspiring Chinese folktales, told by Dr. Yang and illustrated with watercolors.

The first, called "The Fox Borrows the Tiger's Awe" is a fable about a Fox who does some quick thinking in order to escape the jaws of the tiger. The second story, "A Fight of No Fight" is about a boy who overcomes his brothers temper by perseverance. The third, "A Rich Man in Jail" shows a man who is trapped by his wealth, and learns a lesson about greed. The fourth "The Trick of Gold" is about a boy who learns about the real depth of knowledge.

All these stories are based upon the oral folktales of China that Dr. Yang heard while growing up, and they contain strong moral messages. Illustrated with original Chinese paintings, the stories are retold by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming.

Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming (楊俊敏博士) started his Gongfu (Kung Fu) training at the age of fifteen under the Shaolin White Crane (Bai He) Master Cheng, Gin Gsao (曾金灶).
