In Taijiquan demonstrations and competitions, David-Dorian won 8 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Beginning in 1979, David-Dorian trained with Kuo Lien-ying, Doc-Fai Wong, Tat Mau Wong, Anthony Chan, Bryant Fong, Jane Hallander, Jeff Falcon, Yang Jun, and Chungliang “Al” Huang.
Gene Ching is a staff writer for YMAA Publication Center. He is a 32nd generation layman disciple of the original Shaolin Temple of China and was the publisher of Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine until it ceased in May 2020.
